Agenda Points Discussed
- Review of workplace safety and professional conduct
The committee reviewed the general workplace environment and discussed the importance of professional communication, respectful behaviour and maintaining appropriate boundaries among staff members.
- Prevention of inappropriate behaviour
The committee discussed preventive measures for avoiding inappropriate verbal, physical, written or electronic behaviour that may cause discomfort or create an unwelcome working environment. Staff members shall be encouraged to maintain professional and respectful conduct.
- Awareness of reporting procedure
Members discussed the importance of making staff aware that any woman employee who experiences or has a concern regarding sexual harassment may approach the Internal Committee through the prescribed mechanism. Awareness of the committee and its functions shall be maintained. The school shall continue preventive awareness measures relating to workplace safety and dignity.
- Confidential handling of concerns
The committee discussed the need to handle any future complaint with sensitivity, confidentiality and due process. Members were reminded not to discuss confidential matters outside the committee. Any concern brought to the committee shall be dealt with confidentially and according to the applicable procedure. Committee members shall maintain impartiality and confidentiality while dealing with any matter.
- Complaints / Grievances
The Monthly Complaints Book was reviewed from August 2024 to November 2024. No complaint of sexual harassment had been received from any teaching or non-teaching staff member of the school as of the meeting date.
- Queries Raised in the Presence of the Chairperson
Members were given an opportunity to raise queries or seek clarification in the presence of the Chairperson, and no queries were raised. The Chairperson clarified that staff members may approach any designated Committee member confidentially whenever they have a concern.
- Other Matters with the Permission of the Chairperson
As there were no other matters for discussion, the Member Secretary concluded the meeting with a vote of thanks to the Chair and all members for their participation and emphasised the collective responsibility of maintaining a safe and respectful workplace.

- Induction of Reconstituted Committee Members and Their Roles
The Chairperson introduced the newly appointed members to the committee and explained the purpose of the committee and its responsibility to maintain a safe, respectful and dignified workplace for all women employees of the school.
- Awareness regarding prevention of sexual harassment
The committee discussed the importance of creating awareness among teaching and non-teaching staff regarding appropriate workplace behaviour, professional conduct, personal boundaries and prevention of sexual harassment. Staff members shall continue to receive information about the POSH policy and workplace dignity.
- Awareness of complaint mechanism
The committee discussed the procedure through which a staff member can approach the committee in case of any concern or complaint relating to sexual harassment. Members were advised to maintain confidentiality and treat every concern sensitively. The committee shall remain accessible to women employees who wish to report any concern.
- Confidentiality and non-retaliation
The committee discussed the importance of maintaining confidentiality regarding any complaint or information brought before the committee. It was also emphasised that no employee should face retaliation for raising a genuine concern. Confidentiality shall be strictly maintained in all matters brought before the committee. The school shall continue to promote a safe, respectful and professional working environment.

The committee reviewed the awareness measures undertaken in the school concerning prevention of sexual harassment and maintenance of a respectful workplace. Workplace awareness activities on the prevention of sexual harassment shall continue.
- Safe and respectful communication
The committee discussed the importance of respectful communication among teaching and non-teaching staff and the need to avoid conduct, comments or communication that may make another employee uncomfortable. Staff members shall be encouraged to maintain dignity, mutual respect and professional conduct.
- Accessibility of Internal Committee members
The committee discussed the availability of committee members to receive concerns from women employees and the importance of providing a supportive environment for reporting. The committee shall remain accessible to women employees.
- Documentation and confidentiality
The committee reviewed the maintenance of Internal Committee records, meeting minutes and related documentation. The importance of secure and confidential maintenance of records was emphasised. Confidential records, if any, shall be securely maintained and accessed only by authorised persons. The committee shall continue to review preventive measures periodically.
